2. Who processes the refund
Because our payment provider is the merchant of record, it is the party that actually reverses the payment and the party your card statement shows.
- You can request a refund from us at support@getquantcode.com and we will action it with the provider, or request it directly from the provider using the link in your receipt.
- Either route reaches the same result. You do not need to do both.
- Refunds go back to the original payment method. We cannot refund to a different card or account.
- The provider controls the timing; card refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days, and bank settlement can take longer. We will tell you when we have submitted it.
3. Free trial
The trial is free, so there is nothing to refund. It never converts into a paid subscription automatically — a charge only exists if you completed a checkout yourself. If you see a charge you believe came from a trial, contact us and we will investigate and refund it if that is what happened.
4. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy reduces rights you have under the mandatory law of your country of residence, and this policy sits alongside those rights rather than replacing them.
EU / EEA / UK consumers. You normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. For digital services supplied immediately, that right can be lost once supply has begun, but only where you expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you would lose the withdrawal right. Our checkout asks for that agreement before the payment completes, and the confirmation is recorded with the order. If that consent was not validly obtained for your order, your withdrawal right is unaffected and we will refund it.
Other jurisdictions. Where local consumer law gives you a cancellation or refund right that is broader than this policy, that law applies.
5. How to request a refund
Write to support@getquantcode.com from the address on the account, with:
- the email you registered with;
- the date and amount of the charge;
- one line on what went wrong (optional — we ask so we can fix it, not to argue).
We answer within 2 business days and aim to have the refund submitted to the provider within 5 business days of approval.
6. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, please contact us before asking your bank to reverse it. A chargeback freezes the amount and adds a dispute fee on our side, and it is slower for you than a refund.
If a chargeback is raised, we may suspend the account while it is investigated. If the chargeback is upheld we will not re-open the account for the same subscription; if it is reversed, access is restored.
7. What is not refundable
- Periods already used after a first-purchase refund window, where the Service worked as described.
- Accounts terminated for a material breach of the Terms (resale, attacking the Service, automated account creation).
- Losses from trading decisions. The Service is an educational backtesting tool and does not execute orders; market losses are not a service failure. See section 10 of the Terms of Service.
8. Price changes and plan changes
There is one plan at one price. If we raise the price, existing subscribers are told at least 30 days before it applies, and cancelling before that renewal avoids it entirely. Where a change removes a core feature during a period you have already paid for, you may ask for a pro-rata refund of the unused part of that period.
